I will overwhelm 'legitimate fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be shown live on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize next month's boxing match.

Ex two time unified heavyweight champion Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive mismatch - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I plan to injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

Despite such comments, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally known for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Nevertheless, the novice continues to be one of boxing's greatest financial successes, consistently making huge paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters participated in the customary stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the match is actually happening.
